转向管柱具有相互分离的防撞吸能结构。当受撞击力达到标准规定值时，管柱各部分组合件相互间可叠缩或分离，起到了保护司机安全作用，管柱还具有可变倾角结构。在长途行驶中司机可随便调整方向盘位置，以解除长途行车疲劳之苦。
